I've been rocking the role of an art director at Brief Stock, a kickass vector illustration studio, for a solid 5 years. Now, don't get me wrong, I haven't exactly been drawing like crazy, but being surrounded by a creative aura day in and day out has definitely rubbed off on me. In my mind, my drawing skills are off the charts, but reality has a funny way of humbling me.
Let me tell you, every freaking time I fired up Procreate, it was a rollercoaster of frustration and expletives
Yesterday, I binged a skillshare course and thought, "Why keep my skills confined to my imagination?" So, I embarked on a rad little project to bring my talents to life.
I've crafted a killer style and created some fresh characters. I've stumbled upon a treasure trove of mind-blowing references, nailed down the color palette, and nailed the proportions. Get ready, 'cause I'm about to show you the goods:
This is definitely my favorite shot:
And I've whipped up a few illustrations featuring these characters:
And that's a wrap, folks. Thanks for tuning in. This project wasn't too demanding, because, you know, I'm pretty darn impatient, and I whipped it up in just a day. Hope you dig it and enjoy the results ^^
